I was rear ended over 2 months ago and the lady won’t return calls from the insurance company. They’ve dropped her coverage because of it and now I’m stuck with a damaged car. We had the same insurance company but now they won’t return MY calls.
I want my car fixed! I need to file a lawsuit against her for damages and I want to sue the insurance company for not standing behind their policies.
What kind of lawyer does that?
I am going through a foreclosure and can’t afford to hire an attorney and was wondering if there are any pro bono and how to find them? I called my local court house and they said they don’t have referrals like that. I called the bar association and left a message in their mailbox and don’t know what they’ll say. This is in Los Angeles.
Long story short – Dad died – sued stepmother for IRA money and she is offering to settle for lesser amount…want to know what the tax ramifications is of that. Please – will decide if we are going to accept offer based on if we have to pay taxes on it. Otherwise we will reject offer and continue with lawsuit.
Oprah Winfrey has settled a defamation lawsuit filed by a headmistress she had accused of performing poorly at her South African girls school, where some students claimed they were abused, lawyers said Tuesday. (March 23)
I worked for Enmark gas station last year and was wrongfully imprisoned and charged with theft by fiduciary after I told them I didn’t do it. I believe it was a racial issue also and would like to sue them for the loss I’ve had from being in jail 45 days. They dropped the charges due to no evidence about a week ago and now I want to file my civil lawsuit
Lawyers only…don’t need smart asses answering my question…thanks
Seriously, there is probably 100x more in Florida than any other state I’ve ever visited. I am guessing that the state is either plaintiff friendly or the laws are more lax concerning attorney advertisements. Thanks.

she was told that this money should be is tax exempt. The money is in a c/d and she has received an interest income statement. How will anyone know that the money is exempt. She wants to apply for PAAD, however that interest income puts her over the limit.
What can she do? Thanks for your advice/help.
My mom is not trying to avoid working, she is well past retirement and has worked very hard all her life. Her interest income only puts her over the limit by a couple hundred dollars.
My situation is thus: Last week I inadvertantly nailed my foot to the floor with, what I thought, was a quality nail gun. After running in circles for aboout an hour, I became dizzy and rammed my head into the doorframe. Thanks to the Para- Medics, I was rescued from what could have been a much more serious fate.
Anyway, all of the attorneys I have talked to say I can’t sue myself for negligence. Why not? I have a lot of money. Why can’t I get some?
